Trade Training Partnership

Each Friday eight Year 10 students from Cannington Community College have been taking part in a trade training taster program at our multi- million dollar training facility. This term the boys are building a Go-Kart.

The group project will focus on teamwork as well as the necessary skills required to build the Go-Kart. They have also been involved in using industry related technology, including drawing in both 3D and 2D using Google SketchUp. In tandem with these tasks, students have been exposed to the design process and have been encouraged to design a project of their choice from recyclable materials.

Year 12 students currently studying metals and engineering are mentoring the Year 10 students.
