School Based Trainee – Brayden Jones

Year 12 student Brayden Jones was recently awarded the WA School Based Trainee Award which recognises the outstanding achievements of apprentices and trainees.

Brayden has been completing a traineeship at City Beach in which he was employed by City Beach one day per week. This has included completing his Certificate II in Retail and completing work booklets to help him document his experience. Brayden has successfully balanced his traineeship with his College work and is aiming to gain his WACE this year. His employer and manager are very impressed with his effort and confidence. They are definitely keen to keep him working for them.

Brayden says: “Throughout my traineeship I worked in many areas of the City Beach store, learning so many different skills and experiencing what the retail industry is like. I now believe I have a lot of skills and confidence to take into the workforce later in life. I recommend to anyone considering taking on a traineeship to do so.”
