I teach English as an Additional Language (EALD) – what used to be called ESL. Before coming to Sevenoaks I worked in the Intensive English Centre (IEC) at Cyril Jackson Senior Campus for 3 years and also taught in London for a year. I have travelled extensively through Asia, Africa and Europe. I love exploring new places, meeting new people and learning about different ways of life. I also love living in my hometown Perth, and I feel very lucky to now be working alongside the amazing, supportive staff at Sevenoaks SC. I really enjoy teaching EALD as my students all come from different cultures

I am an English and Art teacher with 17 years’ experience teaching in a variety of settings including Queensland and overseas in England. Most recently, I worked at Mercy College and prior to that at Prendiville Catholic College teaching English exclusively for a number of years. I am very excited about continuing my teaching career here at Sevenoaks and I have so far thoroughly enjoyed working with such welcoming, supportive colleagues and a most impressive group of students. I look forward to helping all of my students foster a lasting passion for reading and writing, as so we all learn from each other and I get to help them make sense of the English language and Australian culture.

I am a teacher of English, both ATAR and General with classes in Years 11 and 12. I am also a mum of two teenagers and I love cooking and travelling. Before coming to Sevenoaks I taught at St Brigid’s College in Lesmurdie for several years. It is always so rewarding as an English teacher, to see your students sit down quietly to read and enjoy a good book!! Reading is key to success in English.

My educational background is also biology and environmental science. Engaging students to learn and partnering with them to achieve their life’s ambitions is my passion so I am very excited to be a part of the Sevenoaks Senior College community.
