ALDI to recruit 400 people ahead of launching stores in WA

Aldi is preparing to hire 400 people for its launch into WA.

GERMAN supermarket chain ALDI is recruiting 400 West Australians as it prepares to launch its first stores in 2016.

The discount store is looking for store managers, assistant store managers, trainee store managers and store assistant positions.

ALDI managing director WA Viktor Jakupec said his company is looking for “dynamic, enthusiastic and ambitious people.”

ALDI offers its staff paid maternity leave, which includes 18 weeks at half pay.

Its fulltime employees are given five weeks annual leave and salaries are apparently “well above” industry standards.
