Eighteen students braved the wintery conditions during the first week of the holidays to visit the campuses of the universities of Edith Cowan at Joondalup and Mt Lawley, UWA Crawley and Notre Dame Fremantle.

These students were taken on guided tours to the Engineering, Nursing and Creative Arts areas and shown libraries and other facilities which will be important to them next year when they begin their studies. It was an opportunity for students to gauge transport availability (first year students at UWA are not permitted to park on campus) timetables, locations and for many of the group to enjoy their first time on university grounds.

A further ten students who are part of UWA’s Fairway Program were involved in academic extension sessions during the first week of the holidays.
