The Trade Training Centre is leading the way in using current technologies to prepare students with skills for the 21st century. A recent demonstration of a 3D printer had the students marvelling at the potential uses within their course.

3D printing has revolutionised most of the manufacturing sectors. The most obvious one is in medical technology. The addition of Computer Aided Drawing(CAD) and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines to the Trade Training courses in 2016 will help make students more competitive when heading into the workforce.

The Year 12 Trade Training students were the willing participants at the demonstration and were amazed by the possibilities a 3D printer offered. The printer will be a fantastic course tool in 2016.
