People choose careers for many different reasons.  Some find the process easy while others struggle to work out what they would like to do after school.

While at school, students do better in courses that they enjoy and this fact doesn’t change outside of school.   Research suggests that the happiest employees are those that are doing something that they enjoy doing.

Questions to ask for Career Decisions

What are my Strengths?  What do I like doing?  What are my interests?  What are my hobbies?  How am I going academically at school?  Do I want to go to University or TAFE? What are my favourite subjects?

To help you make some decisions based on subjects you enjoy, the Federal Government has produced a series of posters matching subjects with career options.

Choose a school subject that you like from the list below.  You’ll find the various careers listed in levels depending on training and education requirements.
